Our stay at les Sechoirs was beautiful. The setting is lovely, the buildings have loads ofcharacter, and the owners, John & Chrissie, werereally friendly and very helpful. This was the mostpeaceful and relaxing holiday we have had for manyyears. There are not many places where you cansit on the banks of a river with a glass of wine andwatch the kingfishers. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing time thenthis is perfect.

We have just returned from the most relaxing week at this beautiful Gite. So many wonderful things to stay where do I start?Firstly, the hosts John and Chrissie what a lovely genuine couple, they really do want you to have the best experience in the gite nothing is too much trouble. The attention to detail within the gite is simply divine, the welcome basket on arrival and fresh flowers iis south a lovely touch. The view from the gite is stunning we enjoyed many nights sitting just looking at the river enjoying a bottle of wine and having a BBQ.The gite is spotless and they really have thought of everything you would need in the kitchen. The boys enjoyed the board games that were provided. The decor in the gite is very traditional and very well thought out - it has given me some ideas of how I would like to decorate my bedroom at home. The town is a short walk with some lovely little restaurants, supermarket at the end of the road and a fabulous bakery. The pool is very well kept with a lovely seating area around it which overlooks the river. The garden is spacious. Lots of flowers, fruit and vegetables growing all around which is lovely to see.My husband is a very keen fisherman he enjoyed many hours on the banks of the river lot hoping to catch his beloved carp but unfortunately he didn’t manage to catch one but did catch a 36lb Cat Fish. There will always be next time!Thank you for looking after us so well we have had a fabulous week and sad to be home. We will see you again soon.Corinna, Gary and the boys

Perfectly Peaceful

We just spent a lovely two weeks at Les Sechoirs. The first week was in Les Tabacs which is certainly the cooler of the two gites in the hot summer days and has a larger living room which the family loved hanging out in during the evenings. We had a fabulous selection of board games provided by our hosts John and Chrissie, and rediscovered our enthusiasm for Trivial Pursuit. The Wifi was excellent with good reception all over the property, however it was great to see my three boys swimming in the pool and relaxing with each other without the need for ipads. The pool is a spectacular infinity pool that is scrupulously clean and has a great deep end for pool games and diving. John and Chrissie were excellent hosts who were very helpful with local advice and truly thought of everything when it came to the acommodation, down to fresh flowers and a lovely welcome hamper in each gite. La Pecheurs was the second gite we stayed in and the kids definitely preferred this one as it had a gorgeous upstairs room that slept three, with beautiful views of the Lot river. The beds were all really comfortable and the rooms are beautifully decorated with lovely unique touches like the old French newspaper used to wallpaper the separate toilet and the wonderful French linen on all the beds. We found lots of day trip options that were close to the gites such as the night markets; different wineries and farms to visit ;and a variety of Chateau's and medieval villages. Our real highlight was walking along the river in the mornings to the Boulangerie and having fresh baked goods for breakfast whilst overlooking the river and planning our day.Thank you so much for the relaxing time John and Chrissie! Our holiday was perfectly peaceful.

We thank you for this review and Chrissie and I are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much! We hope to welcome you again in the future.
